Carlo Parentela – Founder of Château Le Jardin
Carlo Parentela, Vaughan executive, is the founder of Chateau Le Jardin, the family business he took over from his father in the 1980s and eventually grew into an 80,000 sq. ft event venue.
At a young age and inspired by his parents, Carlo had aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur while watching his father make business deals. He wanted to do the same, but on a larger scale. After joining the business in 1984, he would move on to become the President and General Manager where his responsibilities included overseeing the day-to-day sales and operations of the venue. With a keen eye, Carlo credits much of Le Jardin’s success to the extreme attention to the small details.
Carlo Parentela – Background and Career
Even though he was immersed in the hospitality business, Carlo always entertained visions of becoming a producer, a dream which he turned into reality in 2009 when he launched Long Valley Productions (LVP). Under LVP, Carlo ran two industry-related businesses: Find a Banquet Hall, an online directory for venue searches and Last Bride Standing, a reality TV series that became a hit over two seasons in Canada on Sun TV. In 2010, he created “Toronto’s Bridal Show”, which became the Bridal Show to attend.
In 2018, Carlo Parentela launched an elite exclusive Dinner Concert/Show series, Après Noir, an exclusive supper club that turns Chateau Le Jardin into Vaughan’s own micro-version of the Vegas strip. Guests are served fine wines and a menu catered by celebrity chefs all the while they are serenaded by international talents like Drake, Jennifer Hudson, Bobby Flay, David Blaine, Rob Thomas, 2 Cellos and others.
Carlo also took over the management and operation of the Capitol Event Theatre in Toronto, bringing over 25 years of expertise in catering and hospitality to this unique historical venue. Since acquiring the Capitol, Carlo and his management team consistently execute the highest standard of service and food quality.
Presently, Carlo Parentela is working on the final expansion of Le Jardin, with the addition of the new Hotel, called “Hotel Vie”. The Hotel will boast 250 guest suites and 50 office suites overlooking the expansive lobby and is geared towards businesses in the hospitality industry.
